Fortune Films is an energetic young company that makes commercially minded independent cinema.
We believe that films can be personal, edgy and unique, yet still have mass-market appeal. We are taking a fresh approach to creating bold and original cinema that people will actually want to watch.
Meet The Team
Max McGillWriter Director, Head of Development
Max’s first feature, HOT PROPERTY, starring Myanna Buring and Tom Rhys Harries is currently in Post Production. His last short film, HALF HEARTED, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and has since screened at a number of international festivals, received television distribution and been selected for the BFI Archive.
Before directing Max spent years as a spark, gaffer and DP. After hanging up his shorts he spent 4 years in BBC current affairs.
Campbell began Fortune Films in 2005 over a £1 bet that ‘anyone’ could make films. He went straight out, bought some cigars and called himself a producer. Quickly realising it was going to be somewhat harder work than that, he knuckled down and is now one of Soho’s busiest producers. He has made commercials for the likes of Mercedes, Burberry and Dolce and Gabana for Mario Testino, and promos for artists ranging from Professor Green to the Sugababes.
Campbell’s real passion is film (he still needs to win his £1). He has produced the multi award winning shorts, HALF HEARTED and THE KARMAN LINE by Oscar Sharp and Sean De Sparengo’s COUNTING BACKWARDS.
Tiernan has produced commercials and music videos for some of the biggest brands and artists in the UK but his main love has always been drama. With the award winning short SIGN LANGUAGE under his belt he joined Fortune Films and produced COUNTING BACKWARDS directed by Sean de Sparengo and THE KARMAN LINE directed by Oscar Sharp. Tiernan believes that a picture says a thousand words and a film with helicopters exploding says a few more.
